Joe Price, Sr.

Funeral services for Joe Waymon Price, Sr. 80, of Killeen, are scheduled for 1:00 PM Wednesday at Heartfield Funeral Home with Dr. Leroy Kemp officiating. Interment with Military Honors will be at 3:00 pm at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.

Joe was born to the late Jesse William and Lila Irene Price on April 3, 1932 at Waco. He graduated from La Vega High School and then served with the United States Navy.

He continued his service to the community through his work at the United States Postal Office as a probation officer and eventually the Director of P.R. Bonds at Bell County. He was an avid golfer and was often teased about residing at his favorite golf course because he was there every day, rain or shine. He went to meet with his heavenly family on Sunday, February 17, 2013.

Joe was preceded in death by a daughter, Lila Kaye Price two brothers, Jesse and Jim Price sister, Lois Yvonne Price.

Survivors include his children, Joe Price, Jr. of Belton, Texas Stan Price of Pearland Mike Price of Westphalia Lisa Hatfield of Killeen two brothers, Russell Price of Palestine Reggie Price of Dawson nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 68 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
