Joe Sellers

Services for Joe Lynn Sellers, 73, of Killeen are scheduled for 12:00 pm Tuesday at Heartfield Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jay Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Cemetery.

Joe was born at Belton on June 26, 1939 to the late Thomas Leonard and Nancy Welsh Sellers. He served and was honorably discharged for the National Guard.

Mr. Sellers died Friday afternoon at his home.

He worked in civil service at Fort Hood retiring after over 25 years of service. He married Lelanette Lightbourn on April 13, 1990 and she preceded him in death on October 26, 2006.

He loved to joke and had a great sense of humor. Everyone loved him as well as his heart of gold.

Survivors include a son, Michael Sellers of Union City, CA two daughters, Shannah Albertini of Spring, Christina Karl of Belton eleven grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
