Joel Alford

Memorial services for Joel Max Alford, 79, of Belton will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Heartfield Funeral Home with Dr. Leroy Kemp officiating.

Mr. Alford passed away Tuesday, October 9, at a local hospital.

Joel was born on February 1, 1933 in Bowdon, Georgia to Alonzo J. and Frances E. Barnes Alford. He married Winnie J. Copeland on September 3, 1953 in Temple. Joel served in the United States Air Force, and then worked as a ticket agent for American Airlines in Austin for 42 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Belton since the 1960s.

Joel was preceded in death by his parents one son, Timmy Jay Alford two brothers, W.O. Alford and H.A. Alford and two sisters, Frances Alexander and Merle Fuller.

Survivors include his wife, Winnie, of Belton one son, Randy Ray Alford of Belton one daughter, Rhonda Kay Coleman of Belton one brother, Jessie B. Alford of Temple three grandsons, Brandon Alford, Landon Alford and Jarred Alford and four great grandchildren.
