John Ayers

No services are planned for John Thomas Ayers, 69, of Belton. He passed away peacefully Saturday December 10, 2016 at his home.
He was born on August 24, 1947 in Columbus, Indiana to the late Garland and Tressa (Hamblen) Ayers. He was a Vietnam veteran and served our country with the U.S. Army retiring in 1984 at the rank of Sergeant First. In his retirement he enjoyed bowling at Hallmark Lanes in Killeen and woodworking. John married Elke Arnold in Budingen, Germany on April 2, 1971. She preceded him in death on March 18, 2012.
Survivors include his son, Tom Ayers; daughter -in-law Elizabeth Ayers; 1 brother; 7 sisters and 2 grandchildren.
