Joshua Allen Reyner was born on February 9th, 2004 and took the world by storm soon thereafter. He approached all endeavors with a full head of steam, and he had little restraint in his zest for life.
He loved fiercely and lacked boundaries. He was quick to offer an infectious smile, and he cherished the opportunity to make others laugh. Josh was silly. His life’s journey was not an easy one. He was presented with a difficult path and faced a number of obstacles from an early age. Through it all, he remained true to himself.
Tragically, Joshua was taken from us on January 2nd, 2020. He was 15 years old.
Josh was a son, a brother, and a friend. His closest companion in life was his younger brother, Jacob, whom he would talk and game with for hours on end. They were virtually inseparable. He was loyal to his friends, and he taught those closest to him many valuable life lessons; patience, forgiveness, and understanding.
For this, we are all indebted to him, and his brief time with us was not wasted, but his journey ended much too soon. He is survived by his mother Christine Furnace, father David Reyner, step-father Richard Furnace, step-mother Irene Reyner, brother Jacob Reyner, Lance Reyner, step-brother James Park, step-brother Dakota Furnace, and step-sister Anikka Furnace.
In lieu of flowers, and to honor Josh’s life, we have established a GoFundMe campaign called “Justice for Josh - Fund BISD Special Education” to raise funds for BISD special education to use as they see fit.
