Joyce Modgling

Joyce Modgling, age 87 of Belton, passed from this life Friday, May 5, 2023, at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Belton. Burial will be in Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.

Joyce was born on November 18, 1935, to Charles and Eleanor Clark in El Dorado, Arkansas. She enjoyed dancing and going fishing. Joyce never met a stranger and made friends everywhere she went. Joyce was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother and shared her love for the Lord with many. She enjoyed traveling, photography, and taking videos of the places and people she visited. Joyce had a fondness for seeing the school bands perform and also loved it when company would visit. Her warm smile will be missed by those who knew and loved her.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents; and first husband, Joe Willis.

Those left to honor and cherish her memories are her husband, Len Modgling; sons, Jeff Willis, and Toby Modgling; daughter, Jo Ellen Hobizal; 3 grandchildren, Jared Clayton, Justin Clayton, and Shelby Spradlin; and 11 great grandchildren, Logan, Brooklynn, Sam, Landry, Joseph, Benjamin, Ashton, Oliver, Emily, Trinity, and Mila.

A time of visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at the funeral home.
