Karen Fay Guthrie, 54 of Belton, passed from this life Wednesday, January 1, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Belton with Mike Baggerly of House of Hope Outreach officiating. Burial will follow at North Belton Cemetery.
Karen was born on March 9, 1970, at Scott & White and has been a life-long Belton native. She worked at the original Sonic Drive-In for over 30 years. She was loved by the community and her co-workers. Karen had a sweet, caring nature for others and a strong love for her family.
Karen is preceded by her parents, Wayne and Evoyne Guthrie and her older brother, Michael Sykes.
She is survived by her twin sister, Sharon Kay Mangham and husband, Joe of Temple; brother, Ricky Guthrie and wife, Michelle of Moffat; nephews, Jerrod Guthrie and wife, Michelle, Dalton Guthrie, and Dillon Mangham and wife, Brittany; niece, Amanda Boles and husband, Zack; 5 great nephews; and 3 great nieces.
A time of visitation will be held from 6-8 pm Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at the funeral home.
