Leland Roger Stanford

Leland Roger Stanford, age 70 of Dacula, Georgia, passed from this life Wednesday, February 12, 2025. Private family services will be held at a later date.

Leland was born on April 9, 1954, in Houston, Texas, to Thomas and Delia Dowell Stanford. He was known for his playful spirit and mischievous nature, often scaring his siblings with unexpected jumps and pranks. With a twinkle in his eyes and a smile that could light up any room, he brought joy to everyone around him. A passionate traveler, Leland embraced adventures all around the world and had a love for British television and movies. He proudly claimed he was always right, a statement often followed by his infectious laugh. As a devout Christian, Leland’s faith guided him through life, and he was always ready to lend a helping hand to family and friends. Leland loved good food, traveling, and the people he held dear. He spent his career as a warehouse manager, where his hard work and dedication were admired by all who knew him. Leland’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

Leland is preceded by his parents, Thomas and Delia; his brother, Tommy Stanford; and his beloved partner, Taylor Marsh, who passed away one year before him, in February of 2024. They shared over 30 years of memories, adventures, and love.

Survivors include his son, Leland Stanford II; and sisters, Theresa Craig, Mona Romain, and Annette Slawson.
