Luis Sierra, Sr.

Funeral services for Luis Alfonso Sierra, Sr., 72, of Salado will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at St. Stephens Catholic Church in Salado, Father Aloysius Nzekwe will be officiating. Burial will follow at North Belton Cemetery.
Mr. Sierra passed away peacefully Saturday, May 30 at a local hospital.
He was born November 19, 1942 in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Alfonso and Rosa (Chavarria) Sierra. On December 20, 1967 Luis married Valentina Guajardo in Salado, she preceded him in death on August 22, 1994. Luis worked as a machine operator at Superior Chaircraft for many years. He was a founding member of St. Stephens Catholic Church in Salado.
Survivors include 2 sons, Luis Sierra, Jr. of Salado and Michael Sierra of Jarrell; one brother, Roman Sergio Sierra Chavarria of Mexico; 3 sisters; Graciela Sierra Chavarria, Juana Guadalupe Sierra Chavarria and Alicia Mirtala Tovar Chavarria all of Mexico; and 5 grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, June 3rd from 6:00-8:00 pm at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home Chapel in Belton, with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm.
