Margaret Dilling died on January 12 in San Antonio where she happily lived the last six years of her life at Horizon Bay Assisted Living apartments. She had previously resided in Belton, Texas for over 40 years, where she was an active member of First Baptist Church of Belton. She was a member of the church choir, a nursery worker and she was a member of the Golden Age group.
Margaret had many talents she was an excellent cook, artist, and musician. As a wife, mother and grandmother, Margaret was beyond compare and she embraced these roles selflessly. She had worked for many years at Ft. Hood in the Office of Personnel Management.
She was born in Brandon, Texas on April 15, 1921 to Ollie and Zetta Jones-Hewett. She married G.C. (Bo) Dilling on Aug. 6, 1941. She graduated from Hillsboro High School and Hill Junior College. She also attended Texas State College for Women in Denton. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two brothers. Margaret will be greatly missed by a loving and grateful family, Paul and Lynn Dilling of Warner Robins, GA. Larry Dilling of San Antonio, four grandchildren Steve (Lisa) Dilling of San Antonio, Brenda (Brooks) Schultze of Wiesbaden, Germany, David (Kim) Dilling of Austin, and Robert (Ashley) Dilling of Ft. Worth.

A funeral service celebrating her life will be held at 11 am on Saturday, January 17, 2015 First Baptist Church in Belton, Texas with Pastor Andy Davis officiating. The family will receive visitors from 10:00-11:00 am. Interment will follow at 2:00 pm at Brandon Cemetery in Brandon, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Music Ministry, PO Box 5, Belton, TX.
