Maria Castro

Funeral services for Maria Arizmendez Castro, 86, of Belton will be held at 9 am on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Belton Church of Christ with Jose Hernandez officiating. Burial will follow at North Belton Cemetery.
She passed away on Monday, July 2, 2018 in Belton.
Mrs. Castro was born August 15, 1931 in George West to Francisco and Catarina (Ramirez) Arizmendez. She married Winston Castro on September 24, 2017. Maria was a homemaker. She enjoyed flowers, gardening and crocheting but above all she loved to spend time with her family. She was a loving wife, devoted mother and beloved grandmother. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Arsenio Arizmendez; and a grandson, Franklin Harrod, Jr..
Survivors include her husband, Winston Castro; a son, Rafael Montez, Sr.; 2 daughters, Blanca Harrod and Sandra Olivas; six brothers, Manuel Arizmendez, Emilio Arizimendez, Cruz Arizmendez, Ricardo Arizmendez, Francisco Arizmendez and Luis Arizmendez and 1 sister, Rosa Gonzalez. She is also survived by her 13, grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors from 6-8 pm on Friday, July 6, 2018 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Belton.
