Marilynn Healy, adored mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away on Sunday peacefully at Park Place Manor, where she lived and had been wonderfully cared for, about 6 and a half years. She lived a Christian life and was ready to be with her Lord and Savior. The memorial will be held on Friday, May 23 at 2pm at Heartfield Funeral Home in Belton, TX. She was a member of Leon Valley Church of Christ. She was 86 years old.
Marilynn was born in Bell County, TX and lived on a farm outside Belton her early life. She graduated from Belton High School in 1946. The next year she married Marvin Healy. They had 3 children and adopted 2 more.
After high school, she spent most of her life as a housewife and supported Marvins businesses. She lived most of her life in Texas, but did spend some years in New Mexico, Colorado and California. From 1976 to 1991, she and her family lived in Kingsland, TX. After her two youngest daughters graduated from Llano High School, she and Marvin moved to Comanche, TX. They raised pecans in Comanche and had a pretty good business going. In 2002, she and Marvin moved to Temple, TX where she lived until moving into Park Place Manor in Belton, in 2009.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin in 2007, her daughter, Sherry, in 2002, and her son Johnny in 2008. She is survived by one son Tom Healy and two daughters Beth Coldsmith and Ruth Kirkland, four granddaughters Heather Robinson, Shelby Healy, Haley Coldsmith and Ellie Kirkland, one great granddaughter Kristin Robinson and one great grandson Kameron Robinson. She is also survived by one brother Curtis Dykes of Temple.
Marilynn will be missed dearly for her loving spirit, her love of travel, being a rock hound and how much her family meant to her.
