A Funeral Service for Retired E-6 Marlien "Marty" Ray Gould, 84, of Belton, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, December 17, 2018 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home Chapel in Belton. Burial will be at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen at 12:00 P.M. Noon. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 16, 2018 from 3:00-5:00 P.M. at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Belton.
Mr. Gould passed from this life on December 9, 2018. Marty Ray Gould was born March 28, 1934, to Melvin B. Gould and Olive Nesheim Gould in Arlington, South Dakota.
Marty served in the U.S. Army from 1956-1976 serving two tours of duty in Thailand and Germany, worked for First National Bank, and Arco-Bell Industries 1986-1996. He lived in the Belton area for the last 45 years. He loved spending time with his grandkids, mowing the grass on his John Deere Tractor, he was a jack of all trades and could fix anything.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Pearl Meyer and Ordela Smith; son-in-law, Floyd Davis; and grandson Cody Gould.
Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his wife, Sara Rupp Gould of Belton; two sons, Michael Gould and wife Monica of Moody and Matthew Gould of Clifton; three daughters, Kellie O'Bryne and husband Dave of Minnesota, Sharon Gould-Davis of Belton, and Michele Balzen and husband Terry of Gatesville; three sisters, Dorothy Forseth of Minnesota, Ruth Loftesness of Colorado, and Ethel Loftesness of Colorado; 15 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews as well as many other beloved friends and family.
