Funeral services for Lucille Barnes, 105, of Belton will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at Heartfield Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Leroy Kemp officiating. Interment will be in North Belton Cemetery.
Mrs. Barnes passed away Sunday, October 21, 2012 at a Temple care center.
Lucille was born on July 15, 1907 in Bartlett, Texas to William M. and Sally Kelso Smith. She married Milburn Solomon Barnes on November 12, 1930. In her role as a homemaker she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Lucille was a member of First Baptist Church in Belton for over 50 years.
Mrs. Barnes was preceded in death by her parents her husband two brothers, Hugh and Arthur Smith and two sisters, Eunice Wilson and Irene Harris.
Survivors include two sons Jamie G. Barnes of Whitney, Texas and Bobby N. Barnes of Richmond, Texas, ten grandchildren, eighteen greatgrandchildren and one greatgreat grandchild.
No visitation is planned.
