Funeral services for Mary Jane Luna Trevino Del Castillo, 77, of Belton will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at the Harper-Talasek Funeral Home Chapel in Belton with Pastor Rick Gillis officiating. Burial will follow at North Belton Cemetery.
She passed away Friday, March 4, 2016 at a local hospital.
She was born in Belton on November 11, 1938 to Jim and Catherinia (Geurra) Luna. She was a supervising custodian for the Temple school district for 15 years where she was known as "Mrs. Luna". She also worked at UMHB and Pittman's Cleaners. She was a lifelong resident of the area and attended Christian Life Church in Temple.
She enjoyed playing bingo, dancing and going out to eat. Her greatest love was for her family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charlie Trevino Sr.; a son, Charlie Trevino, Jr.; a daughter, Catherine Trevino; a sister, Margaret Vaughn and a great-granddaughter, Destiny Elena Alcozer.
Survivors include 2 sons, Jimmy Trevino and wife Kathy of Belton and Johnny Trevino and wife Bonita of Lewisburg, TN; 3 daughters, Rita Caldera and husband Sam, Alice Lopez and husband Alfonso and Margaret Trevino all of Belton; a brother, Paul Luna and wife Oralia; 4 sisters, Louisa Trevino and husband Raymond, Irene Auollo, Beatrice Gardner and husband William and Mary Sunday Ybarra and husband Henry; 15 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm on Monday, March 7, 2016 at the funeral home.
