Nancy Porter-Butcher

Nancy Sue Porter-Butcher, 53, of Little River-Academy was born January 31, 1964 in Jacksonville, Arkansas the daughter of Howard and Shirlee (Montgomery) Porter, Sr. She was surround by her loving family when she passed away on Monday, October 23, 2017 at a local hospital. Nancy attended school in Utah and graduated from Uintah High School in Vernal, Utah in 1982. Nancy moved with her family from Utah to Central Texas over 33 years ago. She worked for 7-Eleven for over 20 years. She married Allen Butcher on September 25, 1999. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Moffat.
Nancy was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She loved all animals and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Nancy was a friend to all and she had a huge heart. She was always the first to lend a helping hand whenever it was needed.
Words from Nancy's dear friend Donna: "She will be missed dearly. She fought the fight and her heart was for anybody and everybody."
She was preceded in death by her infant son, Toby Butcher; her father, Howard R. Porter, Sr. and her brother, Howard R. Porter, Jr.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Allen Butcher; 3 beloved daughters, Kasey Porter-Salazar, Savannah Porter, and Ellie Frausto; her mother, Shirlee Porter; 2 brothers, Rick Porter and wife Holly, and Joe Newell; and 3 sisters, Kathi Morehouse; Janet Larson and husband Pat, and Donna Baird. She is also survived by numerous family members and her many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Nancy will be held at 10 am on Friday, October 27, 2017 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home Chapel in Belton with Pastor David Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Greathouse Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held in the chapel from 6-8 pm on Thursday, October 26, 2017.
