Neoma Mae Sutton was surrounded by her family when she passed away on Monday, May 1, 2017. She was born on February 8, 1936 in Salado the daughter of Joel Andrew Willis and Ruth A. Wallace. She attended school in Salado and lived most of her life in Central Texas. She married Harold Sutton on September 19, 2005 in Salado. Neoma was a homemaker and a member of Maxdale Cowboy Church.
Neoma was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and caregiver. She loved nature and spending time outside gardening, collecting arrowheads and hunting. Neoma was a very strong woman with a strong will to live life to the fullest. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ed Iverson and Frank Breeden.
Survivors include her husband, Harold Sutton of Salado; 2 daughters, Wanda Iverson Reid and husband Gary and LaNora Breeden Velasquez and husband John Edward; 2 step-sons, Jerry Sutton and Terry Mac Sutton; 2 step- daughters, Melanie Givens and Debbie Lipscomb; 7 grandchildren, Latosha Baker, Toby Fulton, Amanda Whiteley, Tracy Reid, Tanya Drake, Justin Reid and Travis Reid; 13 step-grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 6 step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Neoma will be held at 10am on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home Chapel in Belton with Chaplain Albert Lopez officiating. Burial will follow at Live Oak Cemetery in Youngsport.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at the funeral home.
