Services for Ola Lynch Smythe, 100, of Belton will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Rest Haven Cemetery.
Mrs. Smythe passed away Monday at a Mabank nursing home.
Ola was born on January 31, 1914 in Rockdale to James F. and Hope Parker Lynch. She married Milton Smythe in August of 1941. She was a member of Miller Heights Baptist Church in Belton for over 65 years.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Milton, an infant daughter and 2 sons, Ronnie Smythe and James Smythe; 3 brothers, and 2 sisters.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Betty Waters and husband Wayne of Mabank and Connie Duffield and husband Norman of Bryan; 2 daughters in law, Dixie Smythe of Keller and Sharon Smythe of Dallas; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Miller Heights Baptist Church Building Fund in Ola's name.
The famiy will receive visitors from 9:00-11:00 am Saturday, January 10, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Belton.
