Patrice Grandy

Funeral services for Patrice M. Grandy, 65, of Belton will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, July 13, 2018 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Belton with David Grandy and Rev. Jay Beavers officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Pat passed away on Monday, July 9, 2018 at a local care facility.
She was born March 21, 1953 in New York, New York to Dolph and Janice (Waympt) Traver. She served in the US Army from 1971-1974. While in the army she served time in Vietnam and also received operating room technician training. She married Richard Grandy, Sr. in 1976 in Belton and since then has made Belton her home. Pat worked as an Operating Room Technician at Scott and White Hospital for over 14 years until her retirement. She attended 1st United Methodist Church of Belton and was a member of the Lupus Foundation of America.
Pat enjoyed crafting, baking, raising horses, traveling and camping. She loved her family and cherished every moment spent with them. She was a beloved grandmother and was so happy to have met her great-grandson, Lucas, who was born in April 2018. Pat was a devoted wife and loving mother. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dolph and Janice Traver and her son, Richard Grandy, Jr.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Grandy, Sr.; her son-in-law, Darren Mowbray; daughter, Katherine Adame; 4 grandchildren, Alex Mowbray, Corinia Mowbray, Brittany Mowbray and Nicholas Mowbray; and one great-grandson, Lucas Kirby.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at the funeral home.
