Raymond Guthrie

Raymond Clayton Guthrie, 20, of Pendleton was born in Temple on October 17, 1995 to Roy & Diana (Garcia) Guthrie. He graduated in 2016 from Troy High School where he was a member of FFA. Raymond loved music, video games and playing jokes on the unsuspecting, but above all he loved spending time with his family. He always had a strong will and determination to finish what he started and achieve his goals. Raymond was vibrant and full of life and he will be missed by all who loved him.
Raymond passed away Monday, October 10, 2016 at his home.
He is survived by his parents, Roy and Diana Guthrie; a brother, Andy Martinez; a sister, Tiffany Guthrie; his grandparents, Maria and Arturo Garcia, Roy Guthrie, Sr. and Ruth Allen, and Hilda Guthrie; his good friend, Martin Garcia-Hardin and many beloved family members and friends.
Funeral services for Raymond will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at the Harper-Talasek Funeral Home Chapel in Belton with Michael Hale officiating. Burial will follow at Pendleton Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 pm on Friday, October 14, 2016 at the funeral home chapel.
