Rex Melvin

Rex Lynn Melvin, 63 of Belton Texas died on Friday July 19, 2020 in a local hospital. Services will be held at Harper Talasek Funeral Home in Belton, Texas at 11 am.

Rex was born on March 21, 1957 to George Melvin and Anita Moore in Belton, Texas. He graduated from Belton High School Class of ’75. He was a truck driver and a landscaper. Rex was a lifelong resident of Belton, Texas. He was a proud Belton Tiger. He played nose guard for the Tigers where he got his nickname “Pig”. He enjoyed playing softball, golf, flag football, and bowling. He enjoyed coaching little league teams and helping others.

He is proceeded in death by his mother Anita Whitaker; grandmother Angie Sherwood and his father Louis Palousek.

Those left to cherish his memories are his son Thomas Melvin and wife Lorisa; granddaughters Allsion and Madison Melvin; sister Pam Knapp; brother Junior Palousek and brother Danny Palousek.
