Rick L. Anthony, 66, of Temple, Texas, passed away on May 11, 2026 after a four-year battle with cancer. He was born on February 1, 1960, in Sherman, Texas. After the death of his mother, Mildred, when he was young, Rick was raised by his parents Robert and Kay Anthony in Ponca City, Oklahoma. He graduated from Ponca City High school in 1978. He attended Northern Oklahoma College before going on to obtain his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Cleveland Chiropractic College in 1983.

In 1984, Rick established Anthony Chiropractic Center in Temple, TX, where he practiced for 26 years. In 2010, Rick purchased Cen-Tex Fence Company, which he owned and operated for 14 years until his retirement in 2024.

Rick married Kathryn Rometti on August 2, 1980. They enjoyed 45 years of marriage, and were blessed with 3 children, Dr. Travis Anthony and his wife, Mary Beth, Erika Anthony Beer and her husband, Nick, and Dylan Anthony and his wife, Alyssa. He was the proud “Pappy” to five grandchildren, Colby Anthony, Camryn Anthony, Benjamin Beer, Walker Anthony and Kendall Anthony. Rick found great joy in spending time with his family. He also enjoyed golfing, cooking and grilling, and will be fondly remembered for his famous queso blanco.

He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Anthony; his children and grandchildren; his mother, Kay Anthony of Ponca City, Oklahoma; and his sister, Wendy Anthony Gallentine of Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Anthony, and his mother, Mildred Anthony.

A memorial service for Rick will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 6, in the Creekside Building at Temple Bible Church. Donations in Rick’s honor may be made to Our Hospice House in Belton, Texas through this link.
