Rickey Sanders Ii

Funeral services for Rickey Clarke Sanders II, 45, of Spring, TX, will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 2:30 PM at Canyon Creek Baptist Church, 4306 S 31st St in Temple, TX. Internment will immediately follow at Moffat Cemetery.

Rickey passed from this life on January 8, 2018, while surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Sanders was born June 25, 1972 at Ft. Hood, TX to Rickey and Mary Sanders.

Rickey was born and raised in the central Texas area. He graduated from Killeen High School. He enjoyed BBQing and was quite the pit master. No matter what it was he loved to cook. His family fondly remembers the wonderful meals he'd prepare. He was even a very talented baker as well. He had a passion for cheering on his Dallas Cowboys. Rickey loved to hunt and especially to go hunting with his father, with whom he shared many fun deer hunting trips. Mr. Sanders was a good pool player and loved to do so when he could. Rickey was a fun guy who was a good friend to everyone that knew him. Rickey was a kind soul full of joy and laughter. He had a great sense of humor that lasted with him to the very end.

Rickey was a strong Christian man. He grew up in the Baptist Church and was a member of Memorial Baptist Church in Spring, TX. More than anything, Rickey was a family man. He was a wonderful husband, father, son and brother. For over 10 years he has been married to the love of his life, Jennifer. He was the father of three beautiful girls, that he loved with all his heart. He was fiercely protective of his girls. He loved spending time with them, especially teaching them to cook. Rickey will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Jennifer Eiben Sanders; daughters, Sydney Sanders, Sierra Sanders, Skylar Sanders; parents, Rickey and Mary Sanders; and sister, Stephanie McGwier; as well as many other loving extended family members.

A time of visitation and fellowship will be held on Friday, January 12, 2018, from 6-8 PM at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home, 503 N. Main St. Belton, TX 76513.
