Robert Pohl Jr.

Robert Henry Pohl Jr., 96, of Bryan died February 22, 2017. Bob was born in Caldwell, TX to Robert H. and Nell Louine Norville Pohl on June 15, 1920.

He retired from Bryan Electric Utilities as Superintendent of Transmission and Distribution in 1983. Mr. Pohl served five and one half years in the United States Army during World War II and then 23 years in the active reserves until his retirement in 1968. He was a major in the 420 Engineering Brigade.

He is preceded in death by his wife Thelma J. Cliett Pohl and his parents.

He is survived by his sons, Robert H. Pohl III of Austin, TX, William Thomas Pohl of Houston, TX; and his Daughters, Thelma J. Pohl of Washington, D.C., and Martha Nell Pohl of Bryan, TX.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday February 25, 2017 at North Belton Cemetery in Belton, TX.
