Funeral Services for Robert Lee Wooley, 76, of Salado will be held 10 AM Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 3C Cowboy Fellowship in Salado, 16258 Gooseneck Rd., Salado, TX 76571. A time of visitation and fellowship will be held at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home of Belton, 503 N. Main St. Belton, TX 76513.
Mr. Wooley passed from this life on Monday, February 5, 2018, while surrounded by his beloved family at a local hospital.
Robert was born on July 6, 1941 in Texas City, TX to Raymond and Ophila Wooley.
Robert was raised in Holland, TX and lived in the central Texas area for nearly all of his life. Robert was a long-time truck driver for Frito-Lay until his retirement. Afterwards he drove a truck for Wolff Construction for many years. In his free time Mr. Wooley enjoyed caring for all of his many animals. Together he and his wife, Pat, kept several species of birds, horses, pigmy goats, miniature horses and miniature donkeys, just to name a few. The farm was a source of joy for not only him but for his family as well. Robert also loved to go hunting and fishing with friends and family when ever he could. Above all else Robert was a family man who was at his happiest surrounded by his beloved family. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Mr. Wooley is preceded in death by his parents; a sister and a brother.
Those left to cherish and honor his memory are his wife, Patricia Ann Wooley; daughters, Anita Bartek, Roxann Tucker, Sheila Martinez; sons, Brian Wooley, Randy Jackson; brother, Darwin Wooley; sister, Nelda Wooley Bankston; and 11 grandchildren as well as 7 great-grandchildren.
