Graveside services for Rudolph Carl "Bud" Wills, 70 of Belton will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen with Bro. Billy Johnson officiating.
He passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at a local hospital.
He was born April 20, 1948 in Plainwell, Michigan to Robert and Helen (Banas) Wills. He graduated from Hastings High School in Michigan. He attended George Washington University, Thomas Edison University and Rockville University, collectively earning his Master's degree in Business Management. Mr. Wills proudly served his country with the US Army from February 1967 until April 1987. He was a decorated Army Veteran and reached the rank of CW3 before retirement. Upon separation from the military he worked 11 years for GTE as a check out supervisor and was currently supervisor of QA at the Department of Logistics on Fort Hood.
He married Taunya Blackman on May 3, 1974 in Hastings, Michigan. Together they had 2 children, Marty and Christie. He was a member of Miller Heights Baptist Church. Mr. Wills was a simple man who loved his Lord, his family and his country. His hobbies revolved around cars and history, but above all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandsons. He was a devoted husband, a loving father and a beloved grandfather and will be dearly missed by all who loved him.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Taunya Wills; his son, Martin Wills and wife Danielle; his daughter, Christie Pratt and husband Jason; his sisters, Carol, Heidi, Patty, and Nancy; his brother, Kevin; his sister-in-law, Wendy Frary and husband Mark; and his beloved grandsons, Jaden, Chandler, Ryan and Cody.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Belton.
