Ruth Shutt

Graveside services for Ruth C. Shutt, 98, of Temple will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, March 16, 2018 at Memory Garden Cemetery in Edna, Texas.
She passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at a local care facility.
Ruth was born September 21, 1919 in Charco, Texas to the late Charlie and Willie (Pettus) Calhoun. She married Roy Shutt on December 23, 1939 in Cuero. She was a member of the Daughters of the Republic, her great-grandparents came to Texas as part of "The Old 300". Ruth was a loving wife, beloved mother and precious grandmother. She enjoyed reading and traveling, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Shutt and a son, Richard Moore Shutt.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter Betty Gregurek and husband Dennis of Waco; 3 grandchildren, Richard Jackson and wife Shelley, James Gregurek and wife Chelsea and Gabe Shutt and 3 great-grandchildren.
