Sandra Massengale

Funeral Services for Sandra J. Massengale, 83, of Temple, will be held 11 AM Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home of Belton, 503 N. Main Street. A time of visitation and fellowship will be held from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the service.

Mrs. Massengale was born on October 17, 1935 in Fareham, England to George and Lilian Mogridge. She passed from this life on November 23, 2018.

Sandra lived in the central Texas area for thirty plus years. She met the love of her life, Billy Massengale, while he was stationed in England with the United States Air Force. They were later married in Victoria, Texas and then moved to central Texas where they began a family of their own. She had a love for the theatre. She enjoyed shopping with friends and family especially at the Sami Shows at the Bell Co. Expo Center and the shops in Salado. She was a lovely woman who was a great wife, mother and sister. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Billy L. Massengale; parents; brothers, Leon Mogridge, Quentin Mogridge; and a sister, Babs McGlynn.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her son, David P. Massengale; brother, Winston Mogridge; sister-in-laws, Sheila Mogridge, Laverl Light, Arnelva Hayman; and a cousin with whom she was very close to, Shirley Valdez; as well as many nieces, nephews and many other family members and friends.

Mrs. Massengale will be laid to rest at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery alongside her beloved husband immediately following the services.
