Sylvia Yarbrough

Ms. Sylvia G. Yarbrough, age 98 of Thorndale passed away on Monday, February 11, 2019. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 from 5-7 PM at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home Chapel in Belton. A funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Salado Cemetery.

Sylvia was born in Cornwell, England to her parents Charles Oliver and Gwendoline Muriel Kemp Lugg on September 29 1920. Sylvia loved spending time with her family, gardening, going to garage sales, and had a love for animals.

Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Alva Lee Yarbrough; daughter, Jeanette Barraco; 5 sisters, Glen Rose Peters, Florence Evelyn Jennison, Iris Bernice Isaacson, Elizabeth Van Hala, and Murial Fisher; grandson, Gordon Yarbrough, Jr.; and great grandson, Gordon Michael Yarbrough.

Those left to cherish her memories are her son, Gordon Yarbrough, Sr. and wife Doris; daughter, Sylvia Turner; brother, Samuel Lugg and wife Grace; 5 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
