Services for Thomas Earl Hawk, 62, of Temple will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home Chapel in Belton with Pastor Gary Desalvo officiating. Burial will follow at North Belton Cemetery.
He passed away on Saturday at a Fort Worth hospital.
Thomas was born in Japan on July 25, 1953 to Floyd E. and Ruby (Robinson) Hawk. He graduated from Temple High School in 1972 and attend Temple Jr. College. Thomas began his 40 year career with Santa Fe Railroad in the mechanical department as a car man, he then transferred to the engineering department and worked as a Locomotive Engineer until his retirement. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen.
Survivors include his mother, Ruby Hawk of Temple; a son, Timothy E. Hawk; a daughter, Mandy Sands of Temple; 2 brothers, Robert Hawk of Irving and Curtis Hawk of Buckholts; a sister, Linda Johnson of Belton and 3 grandchildren, Alexis Stage, Brayden Sands and Memphis Hawk.
The family will receive visitors starting at 1:00 pm on Thursday, January 14, 2016 in the chapel of Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Belton.
