Virginia Hitt

Virginia "Paulette" Hitt was born December 20, 1949 and passed peacefully from this world on January 30, 2018 to join the many faithful who have gone before her. Paulette was born in Belton, Texas to C.J. Drake and Virginia "Ruth" McInis Drake.

She married the love of her life John Wesley Hitt, on January 22, 1974, they enjoyed 44 years together. They loved children and together they had 4 sons and 4 daughters, 28 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Polly has also been a second Mom to many through the years, she was loved greatly by her nephew and nieces and so many others. Polly was a dedicated housewife, she loved every occasion that allowed her to spend time with family and friends. She loved camping, fishing, reading and spending time at the deer lease with her family. Paulette was known by her family and friends to be a prayer warrior, as she spent countless hours praying for her loved ones.

Paulette was preceded in death by her father C.J. Drake, 3 brother, J.L. Drake, Galen Drake and Charles Drake, 1 sister Charlotte Cehand and a daughter Dorothy Pendley.

She is survived by her husband John Wesley Hitt, mother Ruth Drake, sons, Randy Hitt and wife Debbie of Belton, Joe Hitt and wife Candi of Temple, J.W. Hitt & wife Dina of Troy, Darren Hitt and wife Cindy of Temple, daughters, Brenda Foster and husband Ricky of Belton, Amanda Chagnon of Belton and Shawna LaChelle Turner of Belton. She is survived by 3 brothers Anthony Drake & wife Sharon of Belton, Lawrence Drake & wife Linda of Temple, David Drake & wife Kelly of Valley Mills. She was survived by 28 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

The family will host a visitation Thursday from 6-8p.m. Services will be Friday at 1:00p.m. at Harper Talasek Funeral Home in Belton. Final resting place will be at Rest Haven Cemetery.
