Wesley Benjamin (WB) Orand passed away Monday, October 19th, at his home in Marlin. Funeral Services will be held at 11 am on Friday, October 23, 2020 in the Harper-Talasek Funeral Home Chapel in Belton. Burial will be in North Belton Cemetery.
WB was born on May 1, 1927 in Belton, Texas. He was a veteran in the United States Army and Merchant Marines during World War II.
He worked for Santa Fe Railroad in Temple, Texas and then in Pasadena at Ethel Chemical Plant. Eventually he started his own business, Orand Refrigeration, in Falls County. He also enjoyed ranching cattle on his farm in Kosse, Texas.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching baseball. He enjoyed sharing those things with his family. He loved his family and to make sure everyone was taken care.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Marlin and enjoyed reading his Bible.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Lee Orand.
He is survived by his son, Robert Orand and wife Kathy, and two grandchildren, Ryan Orand and wife Casidy, and Morgan Orand, and a great-grandson, Callen Orand.
A time of visitation will be held from 10 am to 11 am at the funeral home prior to the service on Friday.
