William Bunting

Services for William Stanley Stan Bunting, 72, of Belton will be held Monday, August 11, 2014 at 10:00 am at First Baptist Church of Temple with Associate Pastor Doug Young and Associate Pastor Jonathon Brown officiating. Burial will follow at North Belton Cemetery in Belton.
Mr. Bunting passed away on Friday, August 08, 2014 at a local nursing home.
Stan was born on August 5, 1942 in San Diego, Ca to Clifford S. and Millicent Cline Bunting. He was a graduate of San Diego High School. Stan served in the U.S. Air Force from September 1960 to September 1963. He moved from Spokane, Washington to Belton over 40 years ago. On February 25, 1972 he married Linda Davis in Belton. Stan was a deacon at Fellowship Baptist Church in Morgans Point and a member of 1st Baptist Church in Temple. He served as a Reserve Belton Police Officer, a Mason and a Shriner in Dallas.
He was preceded in death by his parents one son, Steven Bunting one brother, Donald Bunting and one grandson, Evan MacLean.
Survivors include his wife Linda of Belton 2 sons, Scott Bunting and Mark Alexander 4 daughters, Cassandra Wilcox, Leah Kelli, Connie Sourapas and Vicki Hood 17 grandchildren and 8 greatgrandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to First Baptist Church Temple, PreK Fund, 8015 W. Adams Ave., Temple, Texas 76502
The family will receive visitors on Sunday, August 10, from 6:008:00 pm at Heartfield Funeral Home Chapel in Belton.
