George C. Limburg, age 86 of Eddy, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at home. Funeral services will be held at 10 am Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Belton. Burial will be in Greathouse Cemetery in Temple.
George was born on July 23, 1935, to Sam and Margaret Limburg in Crossville, Tennessee. He worked for the Santa Fe Railroad. George loved fishing, gardening, and raising rabbits. He enjoyed going on vacation, especially travelling back to Tennessee to visit family and to go to the Grand Ole Opry. George also liked to hunt, sometimes hunting bobcats on the turkey farm at home. He had lots of interests but his favorite thing in the world was spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. His legacy will live on through them.
George is preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Margaret Limburg; his wives, Ailleen and Charlotte; brothers, Jim, Bill, Sam, and Charles; sisters, Jean, Pearl, and Rose; grandchild, Deeanna; and great grandchild, Christopher Jr.
Those left to honor and cherish his memories are his sons, Jerry Limburg, Melvin Housewright, Richard Williams, and Michael William; daughters, Barbara, Elane, Connie, Kay, and Candace; brother, Bob; grandchildren, Brian, Kurt, Carl, Rusty, Chris, Richard, Alyssa, Amanda, Jr., Tonya, Robert, Amber, Lorie, Elizabeth, Shannon, Amber, Adam, Ryan, and Missy; and great great grandchildren, Ember, Noah, Aiden, Leo, Sammy, Kobain, Lennon, Jozie, Kayla, Athen, Gavin, Devon, Zoey, Jayse, Brianna, Zuriel, Sarai, Aurelia, Destiny, Dezz, Jacob, Jorzon, Lexi, Andrew, Kevin, Madison, Kylie, Kacy, Hunter, Charley, Kahley, and Cole.
A time of visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Friday, January 7, 2022, in the funeral home chapel.
