Jesus De La Hoya, age 85 of Salado, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, December 26, 2021, at home. A funeral mass will be held at 10 am Friday, December 31, 2021, at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Salado. Burial will follow in Resthaven Cemetery in Belton.
Jesus was born on February 15, 1936, to Bernardino and Juanita De La Hoya in Sauz De Abajo (Durango) San Juan Del Rio, Mexico. He was a farmer. He is survived by his loving family and friends and will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
A time of visitation will be held from 4-7 pm with a Holy Rosary recited at 6 pm Thursday, December 30, 2021, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Belton.
