Joyce Katherine Campbell

Joyce Katherine Campbell, age 82 of Belton, passed from this life Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at home. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at First Church of Harker Heights. Burial will be in Cedar Valley Cemetery in Salado.

Joyce was born on July 3, 1940, to David Goad and Stella (Jackson) Goad in Salado, Texas. She was also blessed with a bonus parent, Thomas Cromeans. Joyce was a member of First Church of Harker Heights. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother, and will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents and bonus father; first husband, Franklin Brooks; second husband, Ronald Campbell; and sisters, Willie Langenegger, and Marga Lindsey.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her sons, Curtis Brooks, and Marvin Brooks; daughter, Balinda Wheeler; 7 grandchildren, Rachael O’Rourke, Morgan Brooks, Brett Wheeler, Landry Wheeler, Danny Clarich, Fabian Brooks, and Cameron Brooks; and 11 great grandchildren, Kael Jenkins, Larkyn Jenkins, Warren Wheeler, Lena Wheeler, Madalyn Brooks, Isaac Brooks, Olivia Brooks, Hayden Clarich, Konnor Clarich, Phoebe Appelman, and Tyler Appelman.

A time of visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Monday, March 20, 2023, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Belton.
