Reece Brown Ming, age 87 of Belton, passed away Monday, May 24, 2021 at the VA hospital in Temple, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 10 am Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at McDowell Cemetery in Belton.
Reece Ming was born on January 24, 1934 to Cicero and Mattie Lee (Hilliard) Ming in Sparta (Bell City), Texas. He served our country as a proud member of the United States Naval Construction Battalions, better known as the Navy Seabees. He also worked for the Mid-Texas Telephone Co. in Killeen, Texas. Mr. Ming was a life-long member of the Belton Church of Christ.
Mr. Ming was preceded in death by his parents, Cicero and Mattie Lee (Hilliard) Ming.
Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his loving wife, Anna Marie Ming; son, Michael Ming and wife, Virginia of Belton; daughter, Dawn Krupeta and husband, Damon of Belton; sister, Ruth Benway; 3 grandchildren, Meghan Ward, Tyler Futsler, and Caleb Futsler; and 3 great-grandchildren, Randall, Alice and Wade.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the "Done in 21" fund at Belton Church of Christ.
They would also like to extend a special thank you for all the love and support from their church family at Belton Church of Christ, and to the caring staff of Visiting Angels and the VA Hospital.
A time of visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Belton; 503 N. Main Street, Belton, Texas.
