W. A. Dossey, 77 of Moody, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2022, at Baylor Scott & White hospital in Temple. Graveside services will be held at 2 pm Saturday, May 7, 2022, at North Belton Cemetery.
W. A. was born on December 14, 1944, to Weldon “Fuzzy” and Ollie (Bruton) Dossey in Gatesville, Texas. He was employed by the Chafin Enterprises Turkey Farm. W. A. loved the outdoors and enjoyed going fishing and spending time on the lake. He liked to do crossword puzzles, and often spent time around a Bar-B-Que and in the garden. He was a family man, and he treasured the time he spent with family and friends. He had a smile that would light up a room and he will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
W. A. is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Tom Dossey, Johnnie Lee “John Lee” Dossey, George Dossey, and William “Jim” Dossey; and sisters, Lois Dossey Hill, and Saralyn Dossey Housman.
He is survived by his brother, Wesley “Buster” Dossey; and sisters, Shirley Hall, and Mirtes Marie Dossey Emmons.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Johnnie and Sadie Dossey, his caregivers, and to Billy, Cecilia, Trey and Brandon Bell for their love and support.
A time of visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Friday, May 6, 2022, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Belton.
